Today we hosted the official ceremony for the opening of Sónar Lisboa at the Factory Lisbon building. On stage were João Meneses, Sónar Lisboa; Enric Palau, Sónar Festival; Rita Marques, Secretary of State for Tourism, Commerce and Services; Carlos Moedas, Mayor of Lisbon; followed by a guided tour to artistic installations of Sónar +D in the presence of José Mota Leal, Project Manager of HCB, and Simon Schaefer, Factory’s CEO.

The Hub Criativo do Beato is the place that will host the Sónar+D initiatives with more than 30 activities on the 8th, 9th and 10th of April in 3 buildings: Factory Lisbon, Startup Lisboa Beato and EGEAC’s Fábrica de Moagem

Sónar+D is the international congress of Sónar Festival which explores creativity as the driving force for change in the 21st century, encouraging collaboration between researchers, innovators, scientists, technologists and artists from across the digital spectrum.

To follow the dynamics of the event, the Praça temporarily opens its doors to festival visitors and the general public on the 9th and 10th of April, between 12pm and 8pm. An excellent opportunity to try their products and snacks in a relaxed atmosphere with the aim of making their future space known and revealing a little of what the concept and experience will be. Access is free and entry is via Travessa do Grilo or Av. Infante D. Henrique.
