The Hub Criativo do Beato was today the stage for the Sónar Lisboa 2022 press conference. The concept – Sustainability – was presented at the Factory Lisbon building, which together with the 3 main vectors of the festival: music, creativity and technology, will affect the curatorship and the choice of artists and projects that will integrate this first edition.

An event that counted with the participation of Graça Fonseca, portuguese Minister of Culture; Rita Marques, Secretary of State for Tourism; Catarina Vaz Pinto, the Câmara Municipal de Lisboa Councillor of Culture; Miguel Fontes, Startup Lisboa’s Executive Director; Simon Schaefer, Factory Lisbon’s CEO and the Sónar team that presented what aims to be an immersive and multidisciplinary experience, crossing contemporary creative industries (plastic and audiovisual) and emerging digital-technological industries (gaming, animation, VR/AR, IoT, robotics and AI), simultaneously contributing to the agenda of Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

Scheduled for the 8th, 9th and 10th of April 2022, the festival will take place in various parts of the city, including Factory Lisbon at Hub Criativo do Beato. With a daytime program mainly dedicated to digital art exhibitions, initiatives to link up with the local community, talks and debates on sustainability, and another program, the nighttime, aimed mainly for music and dance.
