Carlos Moedas, new Mayor of Lisbon, and Diogo Moura, new Councilor responsible for Economy and Innovation, visited the Hub Criativo do Beato this morning to learn about the project of this large space destined for the future of technological and digital innovation in the city.

In addition to visiting the space to understand the development of the project’s implementation, Carlos Moedas reveals that the “Unicorns Factory” announced during the Web Summit should be materialized at the Hub Criativo do Beato and is expected to open its doors in the first quarter of 2022.

To the journalists also revealed that Nuno Sebastião, founder of one of the 5 Portuguese unicorns, Feedzai, is nominated for High Commissioner of the Municipality for Innovation, Science and Technology and that he will be one of the faces responsible for developing the concept.

A visit led by Miguel Fontes, Executive Director, and José Mota Leal, Project Manager, from Startup Lisboa, incubator responsible for the conception, management and curation of HCB.

This hub, generator of a new urban dynamic, has buildings finishing their rehabilitation work and others about to start, so that entrepreneurs, startups, scaleups, global companies, investors, incubators and talented professionals can innovate from the heart of Beato to the world. The future is here!
